Writing
The writing classes coordinate with the tutorials and emphasize the development of written language skills. The goal is to help students translate oral expressive language into effective written form. The writing program is designed specifically for students with learning disabilities. It teaches not only the basic mechanics of language, but also logical thinking and organizational and research skills. Students study grammar, punctuation and capitalization, paragraph and essay construction, and creative writing.
